3. Otway Fly Tree Top Adventures Walk through the treetops on the 25 metre high elevated tree top walk. This magical sky walk takes you through a magnificent stand of cool temperate rainforest featuring Myrtle Beech, Blackwood and Mountain Ash. 4. Cape Otway Lightstation - 30 Mins from Apollo Bay Visit the oldest Lightstation on mainland Australia, in operation since 1848, saving the lives of sailors in this treacherous part of the Southern ocean and Bass Strait. 5. Koalas at Kennett River Koalas in the wild is a MUST see. Turn off at Kennet River village, then turn left into the Grey River road at the General Store. 6. Turtons Track: Forest & Waterfall Drive This stunning 109km (2 & 1/2 hours excluding stops) loop drive takes in Apollo Bay, Cape Otway, Lavers Hill, and Beech Forest. 8. Rainforest Walks at Maits Rest and Melba Gully Maits Rest is a spectacular popular short walk through mossy rainforest tree ferns and massive myrtle beech trees 15 minutes from Apollo Bay. There is a board walk that protects plants and provides an accessible track all year round. Drive another 20 minutes past Apollo Bay to get to Melba Gully, a small surviving remnant of dense rainforest in the Great Otway National Park just past Cape Otway.
