Dinny Goonan Wines mission is to produce wines of exceptional quality, with a focus on Riesling and Shiraz.

The first vines were planted in 1989 and 1990 in the Nursery Block, a little less than 2 acres in area. Its function was as a trial block with ten varieties planted. Shiraz, Pinot Noir, Merlot, Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc were planted as the potential red varieties and Riesling, Semillon, Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay as the potential white varieties.

All these varieties are used in the production of the wines, and as the oldest vines on the property, yield fruit of exceptional quality
