Christine and Brett (your hosts) love the Otways. Having lived in Victoria for 18 years, most of their spare time has been involved with visiting the tranquillity and beauty of the Otway National Parks. They camped for many years beside the Cumberland River near Lorne. Still their most memorable meals are camp oven roasts and Damper.

Christine and Brett love bushwalking, birds and most of all trees. So much so they now live at the edge of the Great Otway National Park on a 200 acre property, the site for the upcoming Otway Valley Views Farm Cottage. They are members of Land for Wildlife, The Eastern Otway Land Care Group and Agro Forestry.

Their love for the environment has led to them planting trees. They have planted over 30,000 Australian Native trees at Otway Valley Views and Otways Number 105. This an ongoing venture where local seeds are propagated and planting begins in August after the soil has been ploughed and weeds have been eradicated.

They have an organic Fruit Orchard of over 60 trees where guests can share fruit in season: Cherries, apricots, peaches, nectarines, plums and every variety of apples, love the Otway Soil.

Christine and Brett are trying to express their commitment to the Land and their love for the Otways and the environment. This has led to creating unique properties that encapsulate the magnificent surroundings and environment that this beautiful and untouched National Park offers.

Brett is the perfect designer and maintenance person having come from an Architectural design background and Christine coming from the Health profession, her attention to detail is well practised.

• Otways Number 105 at Deans Marsh in the Lorne Hinterland - the first property which opened in 2005.
• Bells Beach Surf Cottage at Jan Juc on the Surf Coast - opened at Easter 2007
• Otway Valley Views in Pennyroyal on the edge of the Great Otway National Park - opens in mid 2008.

All work and renovations have been done by the Hosts.

The three properties have access to unspoilt environments: from the cliffs and beaches of Bells beach, in the Point Addis Marine National Park, to the rain forests of the Otways.
